Dakwaan layanan tak selari CCTV, imigresen repot polis

Dakwaan has been made against a female employee at the Pejabat Imigresen UTC Pudu Sentral branch after she was accused of stealing a passport wrapper while on duty, according to a report by Malaysia's Immigration Department (JIM). Police investigated based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, records, and statements from the staff member involved during the incident.

Zakaria Shaaban, the Deputy Director-General of Immigration, stated that discrepancies were found between the report, CCTV footage, records, and staff accounts, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter to ensure accurate clarification based on facts. The JIM expressed its commitment to providing full cooperation to the authorities for further action.

The department will continue to ensure that each complaint is handled accurately, professionally, and without bias. Notably, a previous case involved a woman alleging she was humiliated in front of many people after being accused of stealing a passport wrapper during her visit to the same immigration office.
