Construction of devotee queue complex at Srisailam to begin soon

Chairing a meeting, Temple Trust Board Chairman says that the proposed three-story complex is designed to accommodate 12,000 devotees at a time

The construction of a queue complex to assist devotees visiting the Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy temple is set to begin soon. This decision was made at the 10th meeting of the Srisailam Temple Board of Trustees, chaired by Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu. The complex, a three-story structure, will be capable of accommodating up to 12,000 devotees simultaneously.

The detailed project report for the construction is nearly finalized, according to Mr. Ramesh Naidu. The plan also includes the phased development of the Jyothi Siddhavatam temple, located as the southern gateway to the Srisailam temple. A ceremony to install a new flagstaff at the Siddhavatam temple is scheduled from August 29 to 31.

Additionally, the board decided to install decorative lighting at the Sakshi Ganapati temple during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, from September 14 to 23. They also decided to provide extra bedding for the Shiva Sevaks at Nandikesha Sadanam, a cost of ₹19 lakhs. Other decisions included laying concrete flooring in certain areas around temple facilities, repairing public toilets along the Pathalaganga route, and establishing a permanent collection center for garments offered to the deities at the Ammavaru temple.
