Brighton sign Algeria defender Hadjam on deal until 2031

Algeria's Jaouen Hadjam has signed a contract with Brighton & Hove Albion until 2031, the club revealed on Tuesday. The 23-year-old left back, born in Paris, began his career with Paris St Germain's youth academy before moving to Young Boys in 2024. Hadjam made 21 appearances for Algeria's national team, including at the 2022 World Cup.

He previously played 98 matches for Young Boys in all competitions after transferring from Nantes in 2024. The Brighton team kicked off their Premier League season with a 4-0 victory against Europa League holders Aston Villa.
