PN Chief signals Melaka election could be held within two months

Perikatan Nasional chief Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has suggested the Melaka state election could take place within two months. The PAS vice-president urged the coalition's election machinery to make the next 60 days crucial in determining the state's future government. "I reckon there are no more than two months until the election date.

This is a very important time for us to work," said Samsuri during a PAS Melaka charity dinner. The next 60 days must be treated as decisive, not a long period, to ensure PN's election machinery is prepared for the polls, he added. Samsuri called for disciplined and fully prepared election machinery, employing effective strategies to win the confidence of Melaka voters.

He warned party workers against being distracted by political rhetoric and urged them to focus on providing solutions to the people's problems. Voters are not just interested in political slogans and rallies, but want to see tangible solutions to their concerns, stressed Samsuri. He also urged the coalition not to consider any constituency as impossible to win, and instead asked what more can be done to enable victory in difficult areas.

Samsuri stressed that PN seeks the people's mandate not only to form the state government but to serve and shoulder responsibility for the interests of all Melaka residents.
