PH perlu strategi baharu dan pakatan lebih inklusif, kata Tian Chua

Tian Chua, one of the founding leaders of the People's Justice Party (PKR), has urged the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition to develop a new political and coalition strategy that is more inclusive compared to the current three-party model. He argues that the present structure, consisting of PKR, DAP, and Amanah, has become outdated. The former Batu MP claims that a new coalition could comprise political parties, movements, and individuals who share the vision of building an inclusive Malaysia.

Regardless of a party or organization's size or number of skills, what matters most is their vision, according to Tian Chua. He emphasizes the importance of accepting and aligning efforts with various groups, acknowledging that the final goal is to win elections and select candidates. However, he notes that constituency allocation is not the primary concern; instead, the focus should be on selecting candidates based on their merits and ability to garner voter support.

Tian Chua also highlights that PKR needs to build itself as a resilient movement capable of weathering the present government and President Anwar Ibrahim's era. He stresses that the party's main objective should not merely be to maintain power during the upcoming election and then find a new leader for subsequent terms. Instead, the primary goal is to build a party with idealism and principles.

Furthermore, Tian Chua suggests that PKR should be rebuilt from its roots by strengthening its diversity and approaching the community. He believes that PKR's experience in government should serve as a valuable asset to improve the party as a government. This call for the formation of a new generation of leaders is also echoed by Vice President Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, who stated that the party should not wait until Anwar decides to step down as president before seeking a successor.
