Meet Isaac del Toro, the UAE team's rising star. The 22-year-old Mexican upstart from the UAE Team Emirates-XRG has quickly made a name for himself on the professional cycling circuit. Del Toro recently became the first Mexican to win the general classification of the Lidl Deutschland Tour in Germany, a significant achievement for his country and a testament to his talent.

Del Toro's impressive year has seen him secure 11 wins in 2026, including four stage race successes at the UAE Tour, Tirreno-Adriatico, and the Tour Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes. In the general classification of the Lidl Deutschland Tour, Del Toro finished an impressive 53 seconds ahead of Louis Barre from Visma-Lease a Bike, with Marc Hirschi of Tudor Pro Cycling in third place, 1:08 behind.

At just 22 years old, Del Toro's journey to prominence has been nothing short of remarkable. Despite facing challenges in converting amateur performances into victories, he persevered and overcame a serious accident that left him with severe injuries. After recovering, Del Toro showcased his potential at the Tour de l Avenir in 2023, earning him a spot in the UAE Team Emirates-XRG squad for the 2024 season.

Del Toro's talent has not gone unnoticed. In the 2024 Tour de France, he finished third overall and took home the overall young rider classification, following a strong performance by his teammate, Tadej Pogacar, who secured his record-equalling fifth title. As he continues to climb the ranks, all eyes are on this promising young star, who seems capable of conquering any mountain that comes his way.
