UAE Team Emirates-XRG's Isaac del Toro lands overall title at Lidl Deutschland Tour

Isaac del Toro, a rider for UAE Team Emirates-XRG, secured the overall title at the Lidl Deutschland Tour on the final day. This marked the first time a rider from his country had won the general classification in Germany. The victory added to UAE Team Emirates-XRG's tally of 67 victories in 2026. Del Toro had already won 11 times this year, including the UAE Tour, Tirreno-Adriatico, and the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

In the final stage, Paul Magnier of Soudal Quick-Step won with a time of 3:37:39, followed by Danny Van Poppel of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe and Tim Torn Teutenberg of Lidl-Trek, who both finished with the same time. Del Toro finished the general classification with a time of 17:39:48, 53 seconds ahead of Louis Barré from Visma-Lease a Bike. Marc Hirschi from Tudor Pro Cycling was third, 1:08 behind Del Toro.

Meanwhile, Tadej Pogačar of Tudor Pro Cycling won stage 2 of the Vuelta a España in Spain. This result was enough for Pogačar to retain the red leader's jersey. Matthew Brennan from Visma-Lease a Bike won the stage with a time of 4:47:47, ahead of Miquel Pau and Pogačar, who both finished with the same time. Pogačar leads the general classification of the Vuelta a España with a time of 4:58:40. Wout van Aert of Visma-Lease a Bike is in second place, nine seconds behind the leader, with Brennan third at 10 seconds.
