Drishyam 4 confirmed with Mohanlal’s Georgekutty

Dubai: Antony Perumbavoor, producer of the Drishyam franchise, has confirmed that a fourth chapter is in the works for the popular Malayalam thriller series. The announcement came at the Mazhavil Manorama Awards, just months after the release of Drishyam 3. Mohanlal, who plays the lead character Georgekutty in the series, was recently spotted on set during the shoot of Athimanoharam near Sabarimala.

The success of Drishyam 3, which grossed around Rs 238.6 crore worldwide in just ten days, has raised expectations for the upcoming installment. However, neither Perumbavoor nor director Jeethu Joseph nor Mohanlal have independently confirmed their involvement in Drishyam 4. Mohanlal previously mentioned the possibility of a fourth or fifth installment, stating that he wants a compelling story and the right development for the characters before proceeding.

The franchise, which began with Drishyam in 2013, has been widely remade in various Indian and international languages, solidifying its position as one of Indian cinema's most adapted thriller franchises. Fans will have to wait for further details on the cast, director, story, shooting schedule, and release date of Drishyam 4.
