Harris homers, Mahle pitches 5 strong innings as Braves beat Brewers 4-2 in Little League Classic

On Sunday night in the Little League Classic, the Atlanta Braves secured a 4-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, clinching their 21st homer of the season for Michael Harris II. Harris hit an 0-2 slider thrown by Milwaukee reliever Aaron Ashby over the right field fence, providing Atlanta with an insurance run in the ninth inning.

Mauricio Dubon contributed with an RBI ground-rule double in the second inning, followed by a solo homer and an RBI ground-rule double later in the game. Sean Murphy added a crucial run in the fourth inning with an infield single. Tyler Mahle, pitching for Atlanta, worked five strong innings, allowing only one run on six hits. He secured the win with a scoreless ninth inning, earning his 27th save of the season.

The Milwaukee Brewers, on the other hand, suffered their second loss in eight games, with Jake Bauers starting the scoring with an RBI single. The game also saw Garrett Mitchell, Milwaukee's center fielder, hit by a 94 mph fastball from Mahle and leave the game with a bruised forearm, replaced by rookie outfielder Luis Lara. The Braves will next face the Dodgers, while the Brewers will travel to New York to play the Mets.
