Government on US Ambassador Sergio Gor’s remarks: Donald Trump unpredictable, so took cautious approach
Indian government sources have clarified that Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a "cautious approach" during his meeting with US President Donald Trump in France, due to Trump's "unpredictable behaviour" seen in interactions with other foreign leaders. This cautious approach came about after the Indian side requested, during their discussions, that the US administration refrain from holding a full press conference and not allowing any questions after the meeting.
However, President Trump disregarded these requests and proceeded to take questions from the media, sparking controversy.
