FG releases 2026-2027 admission list for Federal Unity Colleges

The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled the admission list for the upcoming academic year of 2026-2027 in Federal Unity Colleges across the country. The release was made official by the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, who emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency and an orderly admission process.

Parents and guardians can access the admission slips through the Federal Ministry of Education's portal at fmeposting.com.ng/auth/login or by checking notice boards at the individual Federal Unity Colleges. All successful candidates are required to print their admission slips and proceed to the respective college for confirmation and completion of the admission process.

The 2026 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), conducted by the National Examinations Council, was the basis for selecting candidates for placement in the JSS1 classes of the Federal Unity Colleges. The examination was taken by 56,950 out of the 60,357 registered candidates, with 3,407 students absent on the examination day.

The Unity Colleges were established with the aim of promoting national integration and providing access to federally funded secondary education for students from diverse regions of Nigeria. The admission process follows a quota system that balances merit with considerations of equality among states and other factors. Dr Alausa encouraged the newly admitted students to approach their academic journey with diligence, discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
