Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek among top honourees at Melaka’s state awards

Melaka's Education Minister, Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek, was among the top recipients of awards at the 77th Birthday of the Yang Di Pertua Negeri Melaka ceremony. She was honored with the Darjah Gemilang Seri Melaka (D.G.S.M) title, also receiving the title of Datuk Seri. Other notable awardees included the Chief Justice of Malaya, Datuk Seri Hashim Hamzah; Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail; and the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman.

The event celebrated 1,328 recipients across various categories, including the prestigious Darjah Cemerlang Seri Melaka (D.C.S.M) awarded to 56 individuals and the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (D.M.S.M) to 14. Additionally, 189 recipients were honored with the Darjah Pangkuan Seri Melaka (D.P.S.M), while 5 were commissioned as Justices of the Peace and 189 recipients received the Darjah Seri Melaka (D.S.M).

Awards were also presented in the Bintang Cemerlang Melaka (B.C.M), Bintang Khidmat Terpuji (B.K.T), Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (P.J.K), Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (P.B.M), and Pingat Khidmat Lama (P.K.L) categories.

Melaka State Secretary Datuk Salhah Salleh revealed that the awards ceremony recognized Melaka's appreciation for individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields, contributing to the state's development and well-being.
