Chocolate Finance launches business cash management accounts in Singapore

Singapore - Chocolate Finance debuted its business cash management platform, Chocolate Business, at The Business Show Asia 2026, expanding its offerings to commercial enterprises after launching a consumer version two years ago.

Walter de Oude, Chocolate Finance's founder and CEO, explained that businesses typically earn minimal interest on idle cash sitting in traditional bank accounts. Chocolate Business aims to provide a better return on cash while maintaining easy accessibility for payroll, suppliers, and unforeseen expenses.

Businesses frequently request such a solution, and de Oude believes this offering aligns with their needs. The launch coincides with Singapore businesses confronting ongoing cost pressures and the need to optimize available capital. A survey found that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) lose S$800 million annually in potential interest by keeping idle cash in modest-yielding accounts, and 45% prioritize liquidity.

Chocolate Business allows businesses to manage surplus cash without committing it to fixed tenures. The platform offers a 1.5% annual return on the first S$300,000, with potential returns up to 1.5% on higher balances, and no lock-ins, withdrawal fees, or penalties. Business owners can monitor their account balance and returns daily via the dedicated Chocolate Business app.

No fees apply, as Chocolate Finance only earns when it meets its target return. Businesses can add funds through FAST transfers or PayNow, with no minimum or maximum deposit requirements. Withdrawals generally take one to two business days, depending on the amount.

Chocolate Finance will display its offerings at booth 220 during The Business Show Asia on August 26-27 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. New sign-ups at the show can receive a welcome reward via the Chocolate Business app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
