Ceasefire verification mission deploys to eastern DR Congo
A ceasefire verification mission comprised of representatives from DR Congo's government, the Rwanda-backed AFC/M23 rebel group, and observers from the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) member nations arrived in South Kivu on Monday. The deployment came a day after the DRC and AFC/M23 agreed on a Switzerland-mediated roadmap for peace talks.
