Bhiwandi Police Tighten Security And Announce Traffic Curbs Ahead Of Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi Procession

As Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi procession approaches on August 26, the Bhiwandi police have intensified security and traffic measures to ensure a peaceful event. A meeting convened by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II) Pawan Bansod included senior police officials, Muslim religious leaders, and social representatives, all emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and communal harmony. Community leaders pledged their cooperation to the police for a safe procession.

The religious leaders, including Maulana Shamshad Noori, Maulana Rafiq Alam, Maulana Shahnawaz Hussain, and several others, voiced concerns about the poor condition of roads along the procession route, urging the civic administration to address potholes and perform urgent repairs through the Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation. They assured the police of their support in preserving peace and communal harmony during the event.

The Thane City Traffic Police have implemented a special traffic regulation plan for Bhiwandi, with restrictions in place from noon on August 26 until midnight or until the procession ends. These measures include vehicle entry bans, diversions, and parking bans along the procession route. Emergency and essential service vehicles, including fire brigade vehicles, ambulances, and police vehicles, are exempted from these restrictions.

The police have assured that strict action will be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt law and order. Community representatives have supported the police's stance and pledged their cooperation in enforcing the traffic restrictions. Motorists and residents are urged to cooperate with the restrictions and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid congestion and inconvenience during the procession.
