Anthony Hernandez accuses Gregory Rodrigues of cheating

Anthony Hernandez, a middleweight fighter, claims that his opponent, Gregory Rodrigues, cheated during their UFC Sacramento bout on Saturday. The fight, which earned Fight of the Night honors, saw both fighters engage in a grueling battle, marked by knockdowns, clinch battles, and intense exchanges. Rodrigues emerged victorious by unanimous decision.

Hernandez, addressing the post-fight press conference, detailed his frustrations with his opponent. "The more I see him slowing down, I thought, 'Okay, I'm going to get him this round,' and I hit him a few times and rocked his sh*t," he stated. "He's a tough son of a bitch, man. I hit him with everything in the kitchen sink. I hit him with some hard elbows."

Hernandez specifically mentioned instances where he believed Rodrigues cheated. "The f**ker was cheating and grabbing inside of my gloves," he alleged. "I told Herb (Dean) that. I fight clean, man. So, it is what it is. Maybe I should be more dirty." He also noted that Rodrigues grabbed his gloves four times during the bout, a claim that Dean acknowledged. Despite acknowledging the cheating, Hernandez expressed that he might adopt similar tactics in future fights.

In addition to the cheating accusations, Hernandez revealed that he entered the bout with an injury. He had been out of action for seven months and had injections in his shoulder prior to the event. "When I took this fight, I was injured, out for seven months, so I knew what I had coming in," Hernandez admitted. "I had a f**king shoulder injury. I just got injections on Saturday so I wouldn't feel my shoulder." Despite the adversity, Hernandez was proud of his performance and vowed to respect the outcome.
