Wyndham Clark holds off McIlroy and Cantlay to capture BMW Championship for 3rd win this year

In a thrilling conclusion to the BMW Championship, Wyndham Clark held on to victory, edging out defending champion Rory McIlroy and fellow American Patrick Cantlay by three strokes at Bellerive Country Club. Clark, who has now secured three wins this year, showcased his resilience and skill, matching McIlroy shot-for-shot until the final moments.

While McIlroy faced a tense moment when he missed a birdie putt from 15 feet, Clark capitalized with a birdie on the 16th to take the lead. Cantlay, who entered the tournament at 43rd in the FedEx Cup standings, displayed impressive composure with three consecutive birdies to finish runner-up. Both Cantlay and Clark have now moved into the top 30, advancing them to the Tour Championship where the FedEx Cup will be decided.
