Teen girl fled motorcyclist after he allegedly told her to undress, Kelantan police now investigating possible sexual assault

Police in Kelantan are investigating a potential sexual offence after a 15-year-old girl was found unconscious by the roadside in Machang on August 20. According to Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat, the girl had run away from home before meeting an unidentified motorcyclist, who allegedly told her to remove her clothes.

The girl fled from the motorcyclist but later collapsed by the roadside and was discovered by passersby. She was taken to the hospital for a medical examination, which found no evidence of rape. However, police are concerned that an attempted sexual offence may have occurred. The Machang district police chief has opened an investigation under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act.

This comes after earlier denial by the Machang police that the girl had been dumped or abandoned along Jalan Kemuning on the same day. The girl's family had reported that she had left home without their permission, and she had accepted a ride from the motorcyclist, who later left her by the roadside.
