Following the MCA pre-election training workshop in Ipoh, Perak, Wee highlighted the party's recent successes, including victories in eight seats during the PRN Johor general election and in two constituencies of PRN Negeri Sembilan in early this month.

He also touched upon the pre-election preparations for PRN Melaka, stating that any specific discussions regarding the distribution of seats among the Barisan Nasional component parties would be finalized after the dissolution of the Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN). The final phase of the DUN Melaka election will conclude by December, with over 200 MCA leaders from the district level participating in the workshop.
