CBI registers case against former DGCA Director Anil Gill and others in corruption case

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against former DGCA Director Anil Gill and several companies and individuals in connection with alleged corruption and criminal conspiracy. Gill, who served as Director of Flying Training at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, is accused of abusing his official position to extend undue official favors to select Flying Training Organizations, causing detriment and pecuniary loss to other operators.

The FIR alleges that Gill facilitated the procurement of training aircraft at nominal prices through benami/shell entities, which were then leased to favored Flying Training Organizations at higher rates, generating illicit pecuniary advantage. The FIR also claims that Gill's relatives held director positions in the accused entities.

Specific companies named as accused include Bluethroat Aero Global Pvt Ltd, Sabres Corporate Solutions Pvt Ltd, and Sandhills Aviation IFSC Pvt Ltd. The investigation has been entrusted to CBI Inspector Aditya Kumar.
