Tasweer to present second edition of "Frame and Focus" exhibition

The Tasweer Photo Festival Qatar has announced the second edition of its Frame and Focus exhibition, set to run from September 5 to October 5, 2026, at Al Hosh Gallery. The exhibition will feature a collection of 12 photographers from Qatar and the surrounding region, showcasing their documentary photography, portraiture, and conceptual image-making.

The projects explore themes of identity, memory, heritage, migration, and belonging, drawing from the photographers' cultural backgrounds and personal experiences. The Frame and Focus Advanced Photography Course, organized by Tasweer in collaboration with the Qatar Preparatory School, the VII Foundation, and Al Hosh Gallery, will offer promising photographers from Qatar and beyond direct mentorship from 11 internationally renowned professionals, including photojournalists, curators, and filmmakers.

Khalifa Al Obaidly, Director of Tasweer, emphasized the course's mission to nurture local and regional photographic talent while contributing to Qatar's expanding creative scene. This edition of Frame and Focus will celebrate the unique creative journeys of its participants and aim to inspire the next generation of visual storytellers.
