Tasweer to present second edition of ‘Frame and Focus’ exhibition

Doha, Qatar - The Tasweer Photo Festival Qatar is set to present the second edition of its "Frame and Focus" exhibition, highlighting the work created through their advanced photography course, from September 5 to October 5, 2026, at Al Hosh Gallery.

The exhibition will display a diverse range of photography, including documentary images, portraits, and conceptual works, produced by over a dozen photographers from Qatar and the surrounding region. These photos explore themes of identity, memory, heritage, migration, and belonging, reflecting the participants' cultural backgrounds and personal experiences.

Tasweer's "Frame and Focus" Advanced Photography Course, in collaboration with the Qatar Preparatory School, the VII Foundation, and Al Hosh Gallery, has become a platform for promising photographers to receive mentorship from 11 internationally recognized experts, including photojournalists, curators, and filmmakers. This year's course focused on fostering international creative exchange and professional growth.

Khalifa Al Obaidly, Director of Tasweer, emphasized that the Advanced Photography Course is a key part of Tasweer's mission: nurturing local and regional photographic talent and contributing to Qatar's evolving creative scene. He added that the exhibition provides a direct insight into the world of photography, celebrating the unique journeys of the participants and inspiring future generations of visual storytellers.

Tasweer will also announce the opening of applications for the third edition of the Frame and Focus Advanced Photography Course alongside the exhibition's launch.
