Takiyuddin beritahu JPPM mengapa Bersatu tak dilibatkan dalam rundingan

PAS Leader Takiyuddin Hassan explained to the Joint Muslim Lawyers Association (JPPM) why his party, PAS, would not be involved in discussions regarding the upcoming PRN election in Negeri Sembilan. PAS decided not to include Bersatu, a component of the Perikatan Nasional coalition, in these pre-election preparations due to criticisms from Bersatu towards PAS, he stated.

Takiyuddin also informed JPPM that PAS had several reasons for not engaging Bersatu, including actions that had strained relations within the Perikatan Nasional.

He made these remarks while delivering a campaign address the previous evening, adding that JPPM had questioned PAS about this for four hours following Bersatu's decision to use PAS's own symbol in the election. Takiyuddin highlighted PAS's awareness of the strained relationship between Umno and Bersatu, and Umno's willingness to cooperate with PAS in Negeri Sembilan.

PAS had severed its political ties with Bersatu in June, and announced its intention to explore a new form of political understanding and pre-election cooperation to face the upcoming election. Prior to that, in May, PAS President Hadi Awang announced that PAS would evaluate its cooperation with Bersatu after examining various actions taken by Bersatu, citing situations in Negeri Sembilan and Perlis, as well as the party's decision to involve certain entities in the Perikatan Nasional.
