2 dead, 9 injured in pharma unit explosion in Telangana

In a tragic reactor blast incident at a pharma company in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana, two workers lost their lives while nine others sustained injuries, according to police reports on Saturday. The explosion at Azolo Pharma in Dothigudem triggered a massive fire at the unit, located in Pochampally mandal, when the workers were changing shift late on Friday night.

Firefighters swiftly arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze. Among those injured, two suffered over 50% burns while seven others had minor injuries. The injured were rushed to various hospitals for treatment.

Police have launched a rescue operation and registered a case, with further investigation currently underway. This unfortunate incident marks the second accident in Telangana within three months, leaving locals alarmed by the recent series of unfortunate events.
