Wyndham Clark making it look easy at Bellerive and builds 1-shot lead in BMW Championship
St. Louis (AP) — Golf star Wyndham Clark demonstrated skill and composure at Bellerive on Friday, finishing with a second consecutive 6-under 64 to lead the BMW Championship by one shot over Gary Woodland. The 36-hole score for Clark stands at 128, while Woodland trails at 129. Despite the gallery rooting for Scottie Scheffler at the U.S. Open, Clark has maintained his poise over 36 holes.
His only notable challenge came on the 10th hole, where he needed to sink an 18-foot putt. This strong performance has Clarke at fifth in the FedEx Cup standings, with his success mostly attributed to winning the U.S. Open and The CJ Cup Byron Nelson. Woodland, who will be participating in the FedEx Cup finale next week, expressed his gratitude for the support from the fans during his round.
