EPL: Spurs agree £75m deal to sign Savinho from Manchester City

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement to bring Brazilian winger Savinho to their North London rivals for £75 million, with an additional £10 million in potential add-ons. The 22-year-old will need to undergo a medical before finalizing the transfer, which is expected to include a long-term contract. This signing follows over a year of Spurs' persistent attempts to sign Savinho, who previously turned down an offer from Manchester City last summer, citing limited opportunities.

Tottenham's recent spending spree this summer, which has already seen the club invest £185 million on midfielders Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, brings the total club expenditure this summer to over £300 million. However, the club has offset some of these costs through the sales of players such as Cristian Romero, Djed Spence, and Luka Vuskovic.

Savinho's arrival will push Tottenham's spending beyond £300 million, although these figures are not yet finalized. The club's spending is expected to continue, with Tottenham reportedly in talks about a potential deal for club-mate Omar Marmoush, as well as Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo.
