Six including two children survive falling tree crash in Melaka

Melaka, Jaspen — Six people, including two children, narrowly escaped injury when their vehicle was struck by a fallen tree near Kampung Air Panas, Bemban, last night. The Melaka Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received an emergency call at 9:46 pm and dispatched a team from the Jasin Bestari Fire and Rescue Station (BBP). The team arrived on the scene and found that the fallen tree had collided with a car.

However, all individuals in the vehicle emerged unscathed, having been safely removed by bystanders before the rescue team's arrival, according to a JBPM statement. The group was notified that the incident occurred as the victims were returning home, with the vehicle nearing the intersection leading to their home. The Jasin Bestari BBP fire brigade, in collaboration with Jasin BBP, managed to cut and clear the tree and concluded their operations at 11:01 pm.
