Prince Harry and Meghan moving back to UK

According to reports from the BBC, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, are set to return to the United Kingdom later this month. The pair intend to relocate from the United States to a private residence outside of London, according to sources cited by the Daily Telegraph and the Sun.

Prince Harry and Meghan's children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are scheduled to commence their education at a British school in September. King Charles was apprised of the couple's plans on Sunday. There are no current intentions for either Harry or Meghan to rejoin their duties as working Royals. The Sussexes and their children visited King Charles during a private family occasion at Highgrove in July, though it is understood that the move was not discussed during this visit.

Prince William and Princess Catherine have also been made aware of the Sussexes' intentions. The couple's decision to return to the UK follows their departure from the UK and royal responsibilities in early 2020, which had strained family relations. Their last joint appearance in the UK was in 2022, when they attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

King Charles learned of the Sussexes' plans on Sunday. The Palace described the July meeting with the King and Queen Camilla as a private family event, marking the first time the King had seen his grandchildren in person in over four years.
