ThreadPort transfers an ongoing conversation from ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to another platform, preserving the text of the discussion and some basic context setup. This is different from the built-in import tools offered by the platforms, which require you to learn about your conversational history. Installing ThreadPort in your browser and allowing it access to the AI chatbot websites enables it to read the messages on one service and insert them into another. The extension uses browser storage for settings, temporary transfers, and monthly usage count.

To use ThreadPort, simply install the extension in your browser, allow it access to the AI chatbot websites, and open the chat you want to transfer. Click on the extension and select another platform to send the conversation to. The new platform will open automatically, displaying a transcript of the conversation with ThreadPort's explanation at the top. You can set the extension to submit the combined prompt automatically or leave it in draft form for editing first.
