Zenith Bank set to host 10th International Trade Seminar on Unlocking Nigeria’s Non-Oil Export Potential

Zenith Bank is organizing its 10th International Trade Seminar on Non-Oil Export on August 25, 2026. This virtual event will bring together policymakers, exporters, manufacturers, investors, and other key stakeholders to discuss strategies for unlocking value and accelerating growth in Nigeria's non-oil export sector. The theme of the seminar is "Unlocking Value and Harnessing Growth in Non-Oil Export".

It will explore how Nigeria can transition from exporting raw commodities to building competitive value chains, expanding market access, and enhancing trade infrastructure and financing. The seminar will feature high-profile speakers including the Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, H.E.

Wamkele Mene; the CEO of Plot Enterprise Ghana Limited, Mrs Patricia Poku-Diaby; and the former President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Afreximbank, Professor Benedict Oramah. Two panel discussions will provide insights from the public and private sectors. The first panel will cover public sector perspectives, including the Managing Director/CEO of the Nigerian Export-Import Bank, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, the Director of Trade and Exchange Department at the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, and the Executive Director/CEO of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council.

The second panel will focus on private sector perspectives and include the Managing Director/CEO of Starlink Global & Ideal Limited, the Group Executive Director of the Dangote Group, a Senior Consultant at 3T Impex Trade Centre, the Managing Director of Terra Aqua Environmental Consultancy Nigeria Limited, the Managing Director/CEO of RMM Global, and the Managing Director/CEO of Lelook Nigeria Limited.

The seminar will examine the African Continental Free Trade Area's potential to open up a larger market for Nigerian goods and services and encourage intra-African trade. With its 10th edition, Zenith Bank International Trade Seminar has become a key platform for high-level dialogue on Nigeria's trade and export ecosystem, addressing emerging trends, challenges, and solutions to strengthen Nigeria's position in global commerce.
