Sebuah lagi premis ditutup di Johor pasang bendera terbalik

Two more industrial premises have been shut down in Johor after being found with the national flag and Johor's state flag displayed in reverse orientation, marking the second such incident within a week. The Iskandar Puteri Municipal Council (MBIP) stated that their officers, along with the police, conducted an inspection at the suspected premises following a complaint.

Kosmo reported that the inspection found the premises owner had placed the national and state flags in reverse positions. The owner was then issued a stern warning and instructed to correct the placement immediately. However, further inspections revealed that the premises were also operating without a valid business license. As a result, the MBIP issued a shutdown notice for the premises, citing not only the illegal operation but also the display of an unlicensed advertisement board.

Additionally, the premises employed 14 workers, comprising two locals and 12 foreigners, all of whom were detained and taken to Iskandar Puteri IPD for work permit checks. The Johor Kota representative, Pandak Ahmad, urged authorities to take action against the industrial premises in Taman Perindustrian SILC for displaying the flags incorrectly.

He emphasized that authorities should take strong action if the investigation finds the flag placement was intentional. On Monday, an industrial premises in the Iskandar Puteri Municipal Council (MPKu) area was temporarily shut down for displaying the national and state flags in reverse. The Iskandar Puteri Police Chief, Tan Seng Lee, said the case would be investigated under Section 5 of the Flag and Emblems Act 1963, Section 14 of the Small Offences Act 1955, Section 505b of the Penal Code for causing public menace, Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act, and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
