A second industrial premise in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, has been closed after officials found it flying the national flag and Johor flag upside down, marking the second incident in a week. The Iskandar Puteri Municipal Council (MBIP) stated that their team and the police conducted an inspection at the premises following a complaint, with Kosmo reporting on the incident.

The inspection revealed that the premises owner had placed both flags in reverse positions. They were then warned to lower and correct the flags, but further checks found the premises also lacked a valid business license. Consequently, MBIP issued a halt notice for the premises due to operating without a license, along with penalties for displaying an unlicensed advertisement board.

Additionally, the premises employed 14 workers, including two locals and 12 foreigners, all of whom were detained and taken to Iskandar Puteri Industrial Park for labor permit verification. The Iskandar City MP, Pandak Ahmad, urged authorities to take decisive action if the investigation reveals intentional flag placement. The previous week, an industrial premise in Kulai Municipal Council (MPKu) area was temporarily closed for the same reason.

The Kulai Deputy Commissioner, Tan Seng Lee, stated that the case would be investigated under Sections 5 of the Flag and Emblems (Prevention of Misuse) Act 1963, Section 14 of the Small Offences Act 1955, Section 505b of the Penal Code for causing public disorder, Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act, and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
