Nahas maut lori Imigresen: Kertas siasatan dirujuk AGC esok

Kementerian Imigresen Malaysia (Jabatan Imigresen) suffered a fatal accident involving a lorry in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which caused the deaths of three families. The accident occurred early in the morning on August 20 when an Isuzu 'Black Maria' lorry belonging to the Immigration Department, without any cargo, collided with a Proton Saga car on Jalan Sultan Ismail after a minor bump.

A total of three families were killed, including Shaik Mohd Firdaus Shaikh Yahya, 53, along with his two daughters, Siti Nor Sazlin, 25, and Siti Darwisyah Auni, 12. Additionally, one other victim, Mohd Firdaus' wife, aged 55, suffered injuries and is receiving treatment at Kuala Lumpur Hospital. The incident resulted in four pedestrians being injured, along with another individual involved, the driver of the Proton Saga, aged 50.

Both drivers, the Isuzu lorry driver and the Proton Saga driver, are being questioned for their roles in the accident. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, and the investigation will be handled by the State Public Prosecutor (Kuala Lumpur) and the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) in Putrajaya.
