Republic Bank deepens commitment to homeownership with nationwide JoyNews Habitat Fair Partnership

Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC has strengthened its dedication to homeownership through a partnership with Multimedia Group Limited to expand the JoyNews Habitat Fair nationwide. The agreement builds upon the Bank's successful collaboration with Luv FM, which previously sponsored the Habitat Fair in Kumasi. Under the new partnership, the Habitat Fair will now be held in Accra, Kumasi, and Ho, providing prospective homeowners across Ghana with increased access to financing through Republic Bank, developers, construction companies, and other housing sector stakeholders.

Dr. Benjamin Dzoboku, Managing Director of Republic Bank, emphasized the partnership's significance in addressing the country's housing affordability challenges, which extend beyond the availability of housing units to include factors such as household incomes, borrowing costs, and land-related issues. The Bank, which has evolved into a full-service commercial bank while retaining its expertise in housing finance, offers a range of solutions to support customers at various stages of homeownership, including financing for home purchase, construction, completion, improvement, home equity financing, and pension-backed mortgages.

The partnership also allows customers to invest in the real estate sector through the Bank's Real Estate Investment Fund, established in 1995. Dr. Dzoboku encouraged prospective homeowners not to give up on their aspirations due to financial constraints, urging them to seek the Bank's tailored solutions. The Joyce News Habitat Fair, now expanded to Ghana's major cities, aims to make housing information, expert advice, and financing accessible to Ghanaians regardless of their location, enabling them to pursue their homeownership dreams.
