El astillero Zephyr Boats prevé desembarcar en Italia

Catalan shipyard Zephyr Boats anticipates generating €1 million in revenue in 2027 with their most energy-efficient model, the Zephyr 801. The Spanish company has launched an international expansion plan, with Italy as its primary target market. Zephyr Boats has already sold a vessel in Italy and has distributors in France. The company is currently developing the Zephyr 801, a next-generation platform with enhanced energy efficiency and prepared for hybrid or electric propulsion.

Initial investment for the model's advancements will amount to €300,000. The Zephyr 801 is set to be launched at the end of the year, with its first unit ready by 2027. The shipyard forecasts selling ten boats per year, amounting to €1 million. Meanwhile, the company is also working on designing the future Zephyr 1101, a model with greater beam.

Additionally, Zephyr Boats is researching sustainable materials to improve recyclability at the end of a boat's life. The company sells vessels to both private individuals and maritime companies. This season, several of its models are also sailing with charter companies. Specializing in motorized vessels, Zephyr Boats was founded in 2021 in Vulpellac, Baix Empordà, by CEO and principal designer Román Pueyo and Director of Communications Gemma Pagés, with financial support from the Font Verona holding company.
