Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces report 5,000 Russian casualties in 15 days

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces reported that Russian forces suffered at least 5,000 casualties over a 15-day period in August, with the commander of the branch, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, projecting a monthly total of 10,000 killed and wounded. The Unmanned Systems Forces carried out operations aimed at isolating Crimea from Russia, with strikes on 22 vessels belonging to Russia's shadow fleet, totaling 228 vessels hit during the operation.

The forces also targeted 74 energy facilities in occupied Crimea and continued to target the strategic R-280 Novorossiya highway. The pressure on Russia's air defense system is ongoing, with Brovdi stating that Ukraine is returning pain to the enemy. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on Russian leader Vladimir Putin's potential covert mobilization plans, while North Korea's involvement in the conflict remains a concern.

Brovdi emphasized that ending Russia's war against Ukraine would require weakening the Kremlin's ability to finance, produce weapons, protect its rear, replenish personnel, and maintain stability within Russia.
