Third time lucky? Amirudin asks on Malay parties’ latest union

PKR vice-president Amirudin Shari quipped about Malay parties repeatedly uniting and then going their separate ways. He noted such cooperation had occurred in the 1970s and 1990s, describing it as the third marriage of these parties. He emphasized that despite the challenges, PKR must continue its reform agenda and work towards a more inclusive form of politics that guarantees justice for all, irrespective of race or religion. Amirudin urged PKR members not to focus on race-based politics, which he said could undermine unity efforts. He encouraged the party to keep advancing its reform agenda and to strengthen its machinery, transcending racial divides beyond election periods.
