Nurul Izzah Anwar has pledged to continue her service for the People's Justice Party (PKR), stating she will support efforts to strengthen institutions, maintain dignity, create opportunities, and build a more equitable Malaysia. As the Deputy President of PKR, she affirmed her continued contribution to the party despite taking a temporary leave of absence from her duties.

Speaking at the PKR National Congress, Nurul Izzah emphasized that her service to the community must be part of the party's reform agenda, as proposed by PKR Youth Leader Kamil Munim the previous Friday. "Honored siblings and peers, PKR will continue to fulfill this responsibility. I will also continue to fulfill this responsibility, but through different channels."

She expressed gratitude to PKR members who have remained with her during difficult times, especially during her father's imprisonment. Last week, Nurul Izzah announced her intention to relinquish the deputy presidency to continue her advocacy. Former PKR Parliamentarian from Permatang Pauh, she was elected to the position during the party's last general election.

However, PKR Head of Public Relations, Fahmi Fadzil, earlier explained that Nurul Izzah would only take a temporary leave of absence from her duties following the National Congress. In her remarks, Nurul Izzah also maintained her support for her father's increasing international activism, highlighting how his actions have brought the voice of Malaysian people to the global stage.

She also acknowledged those who criticize Anwar, stating that criticism is fair, but she criticizes him too. However, she warns against unfounded envy, advising those who cannot accept such criticism to seek psychological help. "Our country has many problems to address. We have no time to listen to you complaining about not being Prime Minister," she concluded.
