Bizman climbs car bonnet to stop girlfriend leaving with friend, falls to death

RAIPUR: A businessman lost his life after falling from the bonnet of a moving car during a heated argument involving his girlfriend and her friend near AIIMS Raipur. The deceased, identified as Parampreet Singh, resided in Udaya Society, Tatibandh. He suffered a severe head injury after falling onto the road and was subsequently pronounced dead at the hospital.

The incident occurred in the Amanaka police station area. According to the police, Parampreet noticed his girlfriend engaging in a conversation with her friend, Bharat Manganani, near AIIMS. An altercation ensued between the two. It was reported that Parampreet and the woman had been acquainted for approximately three to four years, and their families had even discussed the possibility of their marriage.

During the dispute, the woman tried to leave the scene with Bharat in his car. In an attempt to prevent her from leaving, Parampreet attempted to stop the vehicle by ramming his car into Bharat’s car. Once the car came to a halt, Parampreet climbed onto its bonnet, urging the woman to exit. However, Bharat continued driving despite Parampreet being on the bonnet.

The vehicle is presumed to have traveled around 200 meters before Parampreet tragically fell onto the road. Passersby promptly informed the police, who arrived at the scene and transported the injured man to the hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. The police have initiated a case of unnatural death and are currently investigating the matter.

CCTV footage from cameras located near the incident spot is being reviewed to reconstruct the sequence of events, and statements from witnesses are being recorded. The police stated that Bharat is being sought, and further legal action will be taken based on the results of the post-mortem examination, the CCTV footage, and other evidence gathered during the investigation.
