Saudi Arabia Removes Multiple Hadiths Against Jews From Textbooks

Saudi Arabia has recently removed several hadiths from its educational textbooks that contained negative references towards Jews and other religions. One such hadith discussed the end of times, depicting Muslims engaging in the killing of Jews. This particular narration was previously included in Saudi educational materials but has since been eliminated from the curriculum.

Another alteration can be seen in a Grade 7 Social Studies textbook. The current version of the book no longer features a hadith that had been perceived as suggesting that Jews were destined for Hell. This change represents another modification in the way Saudi textbooks handle religious content concerning Jewish people.

Additionally, a Grade 7 Life and Family Skills textbook has been edited as well. The previous edition quoted a hadith describing Judaism, Christianity, and Zoroastrianism as false religions. However, this hadith is no longer present in the revised version of the textbook. The modifications extend beyond references pertaining specifically to Jews, as the book also removes language linking Christians and Zoroastrians to false religions.
