PKR perlu bina generasi pemimpin baharu selepas Anwar, kata Zaliha

Pakatan Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) President's Candidate Zaliha Mustafa emphasized the importance of building a new generation of leaders following the current Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim. She urged the party to commence identifying and nurturing promising leadership qualities immediately, rather than waiting for Anwar's decision to step down.

According to Zaliha, the ideal leader should embody the spirit of the reform struggle, possess integrity, competence, courage, understanding of the economy, and readiness to lead Malaysia. She highlighted that PKR should also be bold in contemplating the future of leadership beyond Anwar's achievements, aligning with the party's reform principles, including setting a limit of 10 years for the Prime Minister's tenure.

Zaliha stressed that the party should not be content with merely waiting for Anwar to retire and then searching for replacements; it should actively identify, train, and responsibly groom new leadership potential from all sectors of the party, from ordinary members to women, youth, professionals, and civil society activists. She reiterated that this preparatory process should not begin only today but should have started decades ago. However, it's never too late to start.
