The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has extended his congratulations to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing his victory as a historic moment. In two separate posts on X, Keyamo joined the chorus of well-wishers following Adeleke's triumph in the Osun governorship election.

The minister also highlighted Adeleke's vocal support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid for 2027, emphasizing the significance of keeping political promises. He stated, "Huge congratulations to Governor Ademola Adeleke on his historic victory in the governorship election in Osun State. Thank you, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for the public and unequivocal endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT for the 2027 Presidential Election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Adeleke the winner of the election held on Saturday, with the State Returning Officer, Prof Joshua Ogunwole, announcing the result on Sunday morning. Adeleke secured 511,067 votes, outpacing his main rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who garnered 444,815 votes.
