#OsunDecides2026: Keyamo congratulates Adeleke, says ‘agreement is agreement’

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his resounding victory in the recent governorship election. In a series of posts on social media, Keyamo hailed the election result as historic, praising Adeleke's victory and his unequivocal endorsement of President Bola Tinubu's bid for re-election in 2027.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirmed Adeleke's win, with the State Returning Officer, Prof Joshua Ogunwole, announcing the outcome on Sunday morning. Adeleke secured 511,067 votes, narrowly edging out his opponent Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who received 444,815 votes. Keyamo emphasized the significance of maintaining political agreements, stating that "agreement is agreement."

This endorsement follows Adeleke's earlier public support for Tinubu's presidential aspirations, underscoring the importance of honoring political commitments.
