Ng’eno to Gachagua: Emurua Dikirr will be busy on August 21, reschedule your rally

Bernard Ng’eno, a candidate for the Emurua Dikirr MP seat and a former aide to Johana Ng’eno, has informed former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua that residents of Emurua Dikirr will be occupied with other activities on August 21, 2026, when Gachagua plans to visit the area. During a press conference on August 15, 2026, Ng’eno stated that the community is peaceful but has already scheduled a series of events for the day, including an empowerment program for boda boda operators.

"But on 21st of August, the people of Emurua Dikirr will be very, very busy," Ng’eno remarked. He and his supporters would participate in various programs before attending an empowerment event for boda boda operators in Mogondo Ward. Ng’eno suggested that Gachagua might reschedule his visit to another date, claiming that the 21st was a day when the residents of Emurua Dikirr were already engaged in numerous discussions.

Despite this, Ng’eno affirmed that local leaders respect Gachagua's constitutional rights, including freedom of expression, association, and movement. The political tension in Emurua Dikirr has been escalating ahead of the 2027 General Election, with Gachagua's scheduled rally expected to draw considerable attention.
