Fadhlina: PKR must remain strong regardless of who stays or leaves

In her closing remarks at the 2026 PKR National Congress, Wanita chief Fadhlina Sidek emphasized that the party must maintain its strength irrespective of changes in political alliances or the departure of members from the Unity Government. She observed that today, the party is united, while tomorrow, they may negotiate with different partners and voice differing opinions about their colleagues.

As the Education Minister, Fadhlina stressed that the party should start preparing for the upcoming general election immediately, rather than waiting for official dissolution of Parliament or the announcement of candidates.

Fadhlina reminded PKR members that such scenarios should not come as a surprise, considering the party's history of betrayals, losses, and changes in political dynamics. She asserted that PKR's strength should not hinge on the individuals sharing the political table with it, but on its grassroots members and organizational machinery. The party leader reiterated that PKR values sincere partners and respects political cooperation but must continue strengthening its organization to safeguard the reform agenda.

Addressing those who may contemplate taking over Putrajaya, Fadhlina warned them to be patient, as the party's work in government is far from over. She urged them not to rush and finalize plans to replace the current administration. Fadhlina highlighted that PKR has previously faced periods without federal power and must now leverage its government experience while gearing up for the upcoming elections, ensuring that the reform agenda remains intact in Putrajaya.
