BPS celebrates India's 80th Independence Day

Doha, Qatar - Birla Public School commemorated India's 80th Independence Day with a series of patriotic tributes at their campus on August 15th. The day's events kicked off with the raising of the national flag by Director C V Rappai, accompanied by Management Representatives Chindhu Rappai, Nevile Lukose, and Siddharth Shahani, followed by a singing of the national anthem.

Head Mistress Lissy Mathew greeted the attendees, which included Vice Principal Radhika Rele, Life Member K M Varghese, as well as academic and non-academic members, parents, and students of the school. In his address, Director Rappai, speaking for the Board of Directors, extended warm wishes to the Indian community on this momentous occasion.

Rappai took a moment to pay tribute to the brave freedom fighters whose sacrifices paved the way for India's independence. He also reflected on the nation's remarkable progress over the past eighty years, celebrating the strides made towards progress and prosperity. After the event, Head Mistress Mathew proposed a formal vote of thanks to all those who contributed to the celebrations.
