Biar Zahid tentukan ketua Umno N Sembilan, kata Jalaluddin

Jalaluddin Alias has confirmed that he will become the president of Umno in Negeri Sembilan, according to Jalaluddin. Prior to this, the Pengerusi Umno negeri was not among the Chief Ministers. Speaking before the announcement, Jalaluddin noted that regardless of whether he remains as the Umno president of Negeri Sembilan or not, the decision lies with the Umno president.

He expressed that the matter would be decided during the Umno’s Highest Council Meeting or at any time the president deems appropriate. This was reported by Berita Harian during the Expedition to Hunt the Red Tail Grass at the Sungai Buloh Park in Jelebu. Adun Pertang expressed his confidence that he would not face any issues regarding his retention of the position.

Jalaluddin was one of the three candidates for Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan presented to the Yang Di Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir by Zahid, the Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, when he appeared before His Majesty at the Negeri Sembilan Royal Palace after the PRN results were announced on August 1st.

On August 2nd, Adun Juasseh, Ismail Lasim, took the oath as the new Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan following BN's victory in 18 out of 36 DUN seats contested.
