Armed Naxals gone, now identify & isolate 'dimagi Naxals': PM Modi on Independence Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Independence Day, unveiling new initiatives for the youth, including free online coaching and AI skills training. However, he cautioned against the growing presence of "dimagi Naxals" - urban sympathizers of the Maoist movement. These "dimagi Naxals" are attempting to incite violence and anarchy, and Modi stressed the importance of identifying and isolating them.

He noted that some dimagi Naxals have even infiltrated key positions within the government. The Prime Minister's 13th consecutive Independence Day speech from the Red Fort lasted over 75 minutes, emphasizing the youth as the driving force behind the most significant protest his government faced since 2014. This protest led to the resignation of the education minister and a series of reforms aimed at modernizing the examination system.

Modi likened the threat posed by dimagi Naxals to that of hathiyari Naxals, or armed Naxals, which his government has largely neutralized.
