PKR Negeri Sembilan's deputy chairman Aminuddin Harun has assumed responsibility for the party's defeat in the PRN 1 August poll, in response to calls for him to step down. Speaking at the PKR National Congress, the popularly known "Tok Min" said he was prepared to take responsibility and not avoid blaming anyone. "Am I perfect with all my decisions?

No. Is our strategy successful? No. Are there weaknesses in leadership? Yes, I admit," he admitted. Aminuddin, who previously served as Negeri Sembilan's Chief Minister for two terms, also apologized for all his shortcomings and weaknesses during his tenure. He expressed readiness to accept any decision from the party leadership, emphasizing that the position is not his but belongs to the party.

In the PRN Negeri Sembilan, PKR won only two out of 16 contested seats, while DAP won nine out of 11, and Amanah failed to win any. The Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional won all 25 seats, forming the state government. Aminuddin said the defeat must be seen as a starting point for rebuilding PKR Negeri Sembilan, including refreshing strategies and strengthening party unity.

"If the party feels the need to make decisions about the future leadership, I will respect it," he said. "If we need to go back to the roots, we will do so. If I need to hear more criticism from members, I am ready to hear it." He stated he did not want PKR Negeri Sembilan to become a party that only emerges during elections. He wanted it to always be with the people.

When the people face difficulties, they must be with them. Aminuddin also reminded party members to accept the people's decision with an open heart and not contest their choice. "If the people reject us, the issue is not why they didn't choose us, but what made them not choose us. That is the question we need to answer honestly, not by blaming anyone, but by finding a way to move forward."
