Abhijeet Dipke reveals Swades' Shah Rukh Khan inspired him to return to India, serve his village: ‘Just like Mohan’

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's film Swades inspired Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), to return to India and serve his community. The CJP leader shared that he had watched Swades over 100 times, being particularly moved by the character Mohan's struggles and empathy. Dipke launched a campaign called "School Thik Karo," or "Fix the School," in his native village in Hingoli district, Maharashtra, just after Independence Day.

He visited government schools to identify issues such as inadequate seating, water supply, and functional toilets. Dipke's words resonated with him, as he too wanted to give back to his village, just like Mohan in the film. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to make a difference in his community, as life had taken him to the US before this.

Dipke plans to visit more government schools across Maharashtra as part of the CJP's "Season 2 of Jantar Mantar" initiative, which aims to conduct a nationwide listening tour and address public concerns, particularly in education.
